Mårten Andersson's CV

 

1934 Mårten Andersson was born in Freluga, a village in northern Sweden, where he still lives for part of the year.
1952-53 Studied art at University College of Arts Crafts and Design in Stockholm, including lectures by Carl Malmsten.
1953 Conservatory student of the artist and designer Jerk Werkmäster in Rättvik.
1955-56 Studied the great masters at the Free Academy of Art in Florence.
1957 Debuted with a solo exhibition at Bollnäs Museum.
1966 Participated in the "Young Swedish art" exhibition at the Svea Gallery, Stockholm.
1984 Latest joint exhibition: "Images of Sweden" at Liljevalchs Konsthall, Stockholm.
2004 Latest solo exhibition coordinated by Bollnäs Museum, Hälsinglands Museum and Länsmuseet Gävleborg  .
2009 Mårten’s painting “The hunting lodge” sells for over  SEK 1 million (including fees) at Bukowskis, Stockholm.
2010 Mårten Andersson completes his dream project and launches an exclusive range of furniture and screen prints.
